Maybe Tomorrow . . . Stereophonics

I made this video blog for the song
Maybe Tomorrow by Stereophonics

Stereophonics – “Maybe Tomorrow”
Lyrics

I’ve been down and
I’m wondering why
These little black clouds
Keep walking around
With me
With me
It wastes time
And I’d rather be high
Think I’ll walk me outside
And buy a rainbow smile
But be free
They’re all free
So maybe tomorrow
I’ll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I’ll find my way home
I look around at a beautiful life
Been the upperside of down
Been the inside of out
But we breathe
We breathe
I wanna breeze and an open mind
I wanna swim in the ocean
Wanna take my time for me
All me
So maybe tomorrow
I’ll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I’ll find my way home

Jerry Ropero & Denis the Menace Pres. Sabor FT. Jaqueline - Coracao (2004)

Another Gina Alfani Production!

This is one of those songs that I discovered through
one of my friends on Blip.fm. Since the first time I heard it,
I can't get enough of it.

It reminds me of Rio Carnivale in Rio de Janiero, Brazil . . .
so I made the following music video of the song,
 making Rio Carnival the theme.

I'm not familiar with the artists of the song . . .
if you are, please comment!

Michael Jackson and Carlos Santana - Whatever Happens

Invincible is the tenth and the last studio album by Michael Jackson released in on October 30, 2001.

Invincible was the first release of new Jackson material since Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix in 1997 and the first studio album in six years since HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I.

Whatever Happens, featuring Carlos Santana on guitar, was not released as a single. Awesome song . . . it should have been!

Lyrics
Whatever Happens | Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana

He gives another smile, tries to understand her side
To show that he cares
she can't stay in the room
She's consumed with everything that's been goin' on
She says

[Chorus]
Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand

Everything will be alright, he assures her
But she doesn't hear a word that he said
Preoccupied, she's afraid
Afraid that what they've been doing not right
He doesn't know what to say, so he prays
Whatever, whatever, whatever

[Chorus]
Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand
Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand
Whatever happens, don't you let go of my hand

Don't let go of my hand
Don't let go of my hand

He's working day and night, thinks he'll make her happy
Forgetting all the dreams that he had
He doesn't realize it's not the end of the world
It doesn't have to be that bad
She tries to explain, "It's you that makes me happy,"
Whatever, whatever, whatever

[Chorus]
Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand
Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand
Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand
Whatever happens, don't you let go of my hand

Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand
Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand
Whatever happens, don't you let go of my hand

Whatever happens, don't let go of my hand

[Carlos Santana:] Thank you, man!
[Michael Jackson:] Thank you, Carlos!

Dido (1999 to 2008)

Dido is one of my favorite musicians . . . this is an update of an older blog post that was totally destroyed by YouTube videos that didn't exist anymore.

Bare with me as I update other blog posts with similar problems . . .

Dido's music became like an old friend after my husband passed away. Those times are a bit of a blur as I mainly sat in my darkened bedroom as days turned into nights which is basically how I realized that time was passing, as it felt like it stood still.

I can't really remember exactly how I discovered Dido's music, but I remember hearing Eminem's Stan, which contains portions of "Thank You" . . . and I immediately fell in love with her voice, the catchy melody and the clever lyrics and had to know who this singer was and if she had other recordings.

Dido's music touched my heart with the clever lyrics about life with the simple, catchy tunes . . . the in-between kind of music that soothed my soul at the time . . . not too hard, not too soft.

One song in particular touched me in a way that helped me through the grief of losing my husband . . . it is a song about a friend helping a friend get herself together and move on after experiencing the death of a loved one. The words haunt me, yet comfort me like an old friend. A couple of months ago, I met a widower in Bloggerville who was having a rough time dealing with the death of his wife and I was able to share the story of this song with him. The gift of music keeps giving . . .

"See The Sun"
Lyrics

I'm comin' 'round to open the blinds
You can't hide here any longer
My God you need to rinse those puffy eyes
You can't last here any longer

And yes they'll ask you where you've been
And you'll have to tell them again and again

And you probably don't want to hear tomorrow's another day
Well I promise you you'll see the sun again
And you're asking me why pain's the only way to happiness
And I promise you you'll see the sun again

Come on take my hand
We're going for a walk, I know you can
You can wear anything as long as it's not black
Please don't mourn forever
She's not coming back

And yes they'll ask you where you've been
And you'll have to tell them again and again

And you probably don't want to hear tomorrow's another day
Well I promise you you'll see the sun again
And you're asking me why pain's the only way to happiness
And I promise you you'll see the sun again
And I promise you you'll see the sun again

Do you remember telling me you found the sweetest thing of all
You said one day this was worth dying for
So be thankful you knew her at all
But it's no more

And you probably don't want to hear tomorrow's another day
Well I promise you you'll see the sun again
And you're asking me why pain's the only way to happiness
And I promise you you'll see the sun again
And I promise you you'll see the sun again
And I promise you you'll see the sun again
And I promise you you'll see the sun again
I promise you you'll see the sun again

See the sun again
See the sun again
See the sun again
See the sun again

Real McCoy - Love and Devotion

The club music of Real McCoy takes me back to the fun times of the 1990's and in particular reminds me of the awesome times JR and I had at a club called "Mannequins" located in Pleasure Island at Disney World, Orlando. We took a mini-vacation once a month and often visited the clubs at Pleasure Island . . . "Mannequins" being my favorite.

Here is a music video I made for this song . . .

Real McCoy, originally known as M.C. Scar & The Real McCoy, is a German recording artist, who is best known for international hits "Another Night" and "Automatic Lover" in 1993, as well as "Come and Get Your Love" and "Run Away" in 1994.

"Love and Devotion" was a single released in 1995 with its highest place hitting #7 on the Australian charts. The version loaded in the player is a remix of the original.

It seems that many of my favorite songs are the least commercially successful releases . . . the "B sides" . . . maybe because they weren't played to death?

Love and Devotion | Real McCoy
Lyrics

Love and devotion, baby
I cant get enough of all that love and devotion in my life.
Love and devotion, baby love and devotion,
You are the sunshine of my life.

When a man loves a woman, a woman loves a man,
Love and devotion gotta keep it if you can.
A kiss, a smile, even when you cry,
Everybody knows that we need it once awhile.
So come on come on, you gotta keep it if you can.
Love and devotion is the master plan.
Im talking about Im talking about a wonderful emotion,
Im talking about a game called love and devotion.
Tonight is the night, when love shines so bright, and we will be reunited.

Chorus

O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I want you baby,
O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I need you baby.
Sweet little dreams as you can see. easy come easy go but not for me.
One life one love one family. together forever in unity,
So come on come on, you gotta keep it if you can.
Love and devotion is the master plan. Im talking about a wonderful untouchable emotion,
Im talking about guess right, love and devotion.
Tonight is the night when love shines so bright,
And we will be reunited.

Chorus

O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I need you baby,
O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I need you baby.
When a man loves a woman, a woman loves a man,
Love and devotion gotta keep it if you can.
A kiss, a smile, even when you cry,
Everybody knows that we need it once awhile.
Love and devotion baby
I cant get enough of that love and devotion in my life.

Chorus

O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I want you baby,
O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I need you baby.
O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I want you baby,
O-la o-la o-la o-la hey, o-la o-la I want you baby, I need you baby....
