"Miss You" was written by singer Mick Jagger while jamming with Billy Preston during rehearsals. Guitarist Keith Richards is credited for co-writing, although Mick Jagger is generally regarded as the principal composer.
The single, their 8th #! hit in the US, was released on May 19, 1978 . . . from the album Some Girls . . . the first Rolling Stones single with prominent disco influences, the music of the time.
The lyrics were inspired by Mick Jagger's deteriorating relationship with his wife, Bianca.
